A Great Way To Gain Freedom Is To Own A Car

Posted on September 1st, 2010

It has long been the dream of many a teenage boy to buy a cheap old car and fix it up so they have wheels to get around. As soon as kids are old enough they begin fantasizing about driving on their own. Some people put off getting their driving license into well into adulthood because they are scared of getting into an accident. Others get their license the moment they are old enough but are unable to afford a car. Some people go their entire lives without ever getting behind the wheel of a car for one reason or another. Even though a number of responsibilities comes with driving, there is nothing like it for gaining independence. If you are able to drive when you want and where you want, you have a level of freedom non-drivers lack. Sure, there are the occasional bouts with auto collision repair Syracuse or a Syracuse body shop a few times during your life, but {those minor inconveniences are worth the effort if it means you are able to get around to wherever you choose at any time you choose|they are worth the trade off for the freedom driving brings]. If you are looking for freedom, convenience, and independence, a vehicle of your own is what you need.

Non-drivers are stuck relying on public transportation and their friends and family to get them around. This means they travel based around the schedule of others. You could choose to take a taxi, but this can be very expensive, especially in suburban and rural areas. If you are relying on friends and family, you are also stuck adhering to their schedule.

Worse, they will have to work their schedule around you. You will have to work on their schedule and expect them to work around yours to some extent. This can make for a few very unpleasant relationships and more than a few arguments. If you were driving a car of your own, you would have the ability to come and go as you please; regardless of anyone’s schedule.

Another benefit of having your own vehicle is the sense of adventure. If you are relying on someone else to take you places, chances are you only travel outside of your house when the need calls for it. You probably will not experience the joy of a Sunday drive to nowhere.

If you had a vehicle of your own, these Sunday drives could happen any time you choose. Even without a destination, you can enjoy the sense of freedom and independence owning your own vehicle provides.
