Information OnThe Home Office Samsung Ml 1440 Printer

Posted on August 27th, 2010

Before anything else, allow me to provide a few facts on the Samsung ML 1440 printer. It was designed to produce excellent black and white printouts with the Samsung ML 1440 toner and 600 x 600 dpi resolution. This feature is coupled with a 15 ppm capacity. It has a ready USB port as its main way to connect to computers and the device supports different operating systems. Lastly, the printer has a boxy appearance and weighs about 24 lbs.

I’ve been using an inkjet printer for a long time. It was not without disagreements, though. You see, my daughter’s school projects and reports would often require her to do printouts. During busy school nights, these black and white printouts can reach up to 20-30 pages. Unfortunately, half of them get thrown out due to errors. I try not being critical on how much toner she’s using, but sometimes it’s just inevitable. What is more bothersome is that it’s costing me a lot to change the toner. Luckily, a friend introduced the Samsung printer.

Like I said, I was skeptical about it. It was a little expensive compared to my inkjet printer, not to mention that with the inkjet I could print in color. It didn’t very long for me to realize how good its features are. The boxy shape of the printer creates a sturdy appearance. It has paper storage under the printer, which is very convenient. The lack of extensions supporting the paper tray saves me from worrying I might break a part of it.

Installing the machine wasn’t as much a feat as I thought. The installation manual was very helpful for a non-computer savvy individual like me. I was relieved that the printer was compatible with Windows XP. Honestly, I forgot to consider that when I purchased the printer. After a few minutes, my new printer was ready.

Before long, the printer was set and ready to be used. To satisfy my curiosity, I decided to have a little test run on the printer. I made a document with “new printer” written on it using a size 10 font. It was very small but I figured if the result was good, then the printer is good too. The small font size also saved me from using too much ink. Indeed, the printer produced 15 copies in a minute.

I’m not too sure what the “dots per inch” means in the resolution of a printer. The Samsung printer has 600 dpi, which is probably responsible for the quality printouts. All of the characters looked sharp despite the very small font size. To top it off, there were no blotches, for a neat finish. It is perfect for my daughter’s reports.

For me, the best feature is the “toner save”. It allows me to save up to 40% on toner. To be honest, since I discovered this feature, my daughter and I use it all the time. You see, even when we reduced it to 50%, the prints are still as good as the ones we got from our inkjet printer.

Sure, the Samsung printer doesn’t print in color, but it’s rare that I would find the need for it. The printer is efficient, convenient and economical in the use of toner. These are basically every quality I need in a printer. The Samsung ML 1440 printer has made a good and lasting impression on my family.

Finding the Samsung ML 1440 toner cartridges proved as easy as setting up the printer.  I looked online for Samsung laser toner and found so many dealers who offered just exceptional prices on compatible toner.
