HP 2420 Compatible Toner Completes Any Job Continuously

Posted on March 9th, 2010

Taking the HP LaserJet 2420 printer for what it is means one will be taking on a good Hewlett-Packard monochrome laser printer of high print speed and excellent print quality provided by HP LaserJet 2420 toner. That it comes at a low price, relatively speaking when considering all its features, is a bit surprising. But the 2420 offers much to like and very little to dislike when it comes to sizing it up.

For the most part, one might want to consider the 2420 as being a suitable workhorse printer for a networked workgroup or small office environment. It can handle almost all of its print tasks with little trouble and seems to be one of the stronger printers in this segment of the market. It can print 30 pages per minute, also pleasing most any business person needing good productivity across the board.

As well, the quality of the product that emerges from the printer is nothing but excellent in almost all regards. HP has given this model 1,200 dpi print resolution capability, meaning there’ll be little to complain about from its users in terms of the quality or clarity of anything this device has the responsibility of printing out. Hewlett-Packard has always been known for good print quality, for a fact.

Much of this is owed to HP’s proprietary image enhancement technology software, which the company dubs Hi ProRes 1200 in this model. It’s all managed via an interior included microprocessor that works at 400 MHz, which is all the printer needs to take advantage of the 32 MB of RAM included onboard as well. This means all print jobs will be assessed, produced and displayed very quickly.

As far as ease of connectivity, this device can be joined to a computer or to a workgroup by means of either a parallel port or a high-speed USB connection. Keep in mind that Hewlett-Packard does not supply USB cables with its printers, so if one hasn’t already been purchased consider selecting a nice cable to go with the printer while still in the store.

As far as all of the different paper stock that the LaserJet 2420 can print on, it’s pretty much one of the more versatile laser printers around for its price. Bond paper and even recycled paper can be used quite easily by this machine and it will also print out on envelopes and transparencies along with labels. Additionally, a single auto load tray can hold 250 sheets of paper, with this printer holding 350 sheets altogether.

This HP model is able to make use of several different Windows operating systems, as well as being compatible with Mac OS 9.X and 10.X OSs. It will even take on Windows 98, which is an operating system that is about 13 years old nowadays. Given that, no user should have much of any concern about being able to connect this printer to whatever operating system he or she happens to be running.

In all, and for a price of about 500 dollars retail (before discounts), getting a workgroup laser printer of such high-speed printing capability (30 ppm) and with a rated monthly duty cycle of 75,000 pages, it’s hard to find much to quibble over when it comes to the HP LaserJet 2420 printer. For those looking for a personal printer that can print out at high speed, this may also be the printer to consider as well.

The HP LaserJet 2420 replacement toner will meet the needs of even the most demanding professional. Quality is a standard with HP printer toner cartridges and smart users know that the better the replacement toners, the better their presentation will be.
