West Ridge Academy Has Been Providing Hope for Troubled Teens for Almost 50 years.
West Ridge Academy has helped youth with traumatic experiences and struggles, carrying the message of hope since 1964. West Ridge Academy, which used to be known as the Utah Boys Ranch, is a place for the young to find treatment. The main office is in West Jordan, UT. West Ridge Academy excels at providing services to teens from a wide variety of backgrounds, and because of this the program is able to provide clinical and educational services, as well as a variety of others, to at-risk youth. Initially, the academy was for both boys and girls but was became a male-only program in 2005. Troubled girls once again are not excluded from the benefits at West Ridge Academy. In the massive campus, a unit for girls has been started by the non-profit organization.
West Ridge Academy provides an education and experiences that will promote self-esteem and spiritual awareness for young children aged 9-17.
The programs offered are aimed at guiding the youth in building personal accountability, change of attitude and developing an endurance to overcome and cope with challenging life experiences. The faith-based open-minded program also reaches out with mentor-ship and guidance to at-risk youth as young as five years of age. Our visitors are always impressed by the expansive size of our campus. It is a large college-style campus with eight separate buildings. On the same note, West Ridge Academy has an apartment for parents who need a place to stay when traveling from out of town and two fully equipped gymnasiums. For both the girls and boys campuses these are available.
West Ridge Academy is a non-denominational christian treatment center specializing in treatment of issues that can cause dramatic psychological problems. For youngsters with aggressive and rebellious behavior, this is an appropriate center. West Ridge Academy is very much prescribed for students who have a background of disrespect to parents or who need psychological therapy, self-inflicting behavioral problems or prone to suicidal thoughts. This school also has programs specifically geared toward those students who may be struggling with problems such as: sexual promiscuity, lack of motivation, self esteem issues, and substance abuse. The school is accredited by NAAS as well as being licensed by the state. In fact, therapists at West Ridge Academy are Masters or Doctorate level professional experts. The primary mentors are available in their dorm next to the students anytime you feel like you need some personal help.
The academy is primarily composed of Utah residents, with student coming from out of state as well. This program is operated by people from the Utah area. Thanks to their assistance, West Ridge Academy had the opportunity to reach many different goals, such as being able to assist over 25,000 young people successfully complete their program. With this, the school can be regarded as having continually attained its goal of offering hope and healing to young boys and girls by providing them with necessary coping facilities in the moral, material and spiritual realms. As a result, this gives them the skills to integrate themselves back into society and lead prosperous lives. Many youth have benefited immensely from West Ridge Academy.
