My Little Ones, Muck Boots, And The Winter Snow

Posted on July 13th, 2010

My children love to play outside in the winter weather, particularly anytime there is 10 feet of snow. But, I don’t know of one mom that has had a simple time getting good quality winter weather boots for their own youngsters. If your children want to have fun outdoors in the snow and mud such as mine do, keeping them comfortable and dry can be nearly impossible! Typically by the time my kids wander back inside, their small toes can be frozen solid. But this will never happen anymore, not since they started wearing Muck Boots.

Now, the kids may run outside for long periods of time and really get right down to business building his or her snow forts. Nothing can be more fun than burrowing a huge pit in the side of a yard snowbank and disappearing on the inside. I have never been on the inside an actual igloo, when they build the fort big enough for me then I can’t avoid climbing inside in order to check it out! Digging a pit inside a snowbank normally takes time, however, and staying comfortable long enough to get the job done has often been a problem. Muck Boots are thermal insulated to help keep those tiny toes toasty for as long as it requires in order to complete the task.

Muck Boots in fact contain a completely strong rubber construction, making them 100 percent waterproof. While I have seen this claim before about different boots I have ordered for the kids, I have never found it to be correct before. I didn’t believe this was even likely with a kids boot, but Muck Boots genuinely handles the problem of getting a waterproof boot. And, while my kids take off their Muck Boots (yes, they can get this brand off all by themselves), their toes remain cozy and toasty inside—their toes are unquestionably the last thing to get cold now! The stretch-fit topline binding fits snugly to the calf, keeping snow from piling on the inside, but providing total freedom of mobility during any igloo building, climbing, or running that might occur.

One of the great points concerning the Muck Boots for kids is that they not just work fantastic in the cold and snowy conditions, however when spring arrives and all that beautiful snow turns the yard into a huge mud pit, these exact same boots work like a charm. They will keep the mud and wet out nicely, and they are super easy to clean up, all I have to do is hose them off. Again, that sound rubber construction makes them the ideal choice for any outdoor situations.

I won’t return to purchasing the discounted, plain looking rubber boots for my kids ever again. I have finally found some boots which i can rely on and keep them comfortable and dry when they have fun outside. There are several Muck Boots Kids’ types to select from, depending on what you need. Children should be playing outside more, in any case, and I’m sure that my kids will be playing outside this winter season more than ever, ever since they stay warm and dry longer. Muck Boots has made this doable!
