How OdorXit Saved The Day!
For those who may not have heard, we had a major fire at our home last month.
For those of you who did hear and have been after me to explain how I used OdorXit to come through the ordeal, I’ve put together a few things we did.
As you already know, when you have a fire of any size, the smoke and fire smell magically seems to get everywhere.
It gets in your clothes, it gets in your rugs, it gets in your bedding.
It gets on and in everything!
So what did I specifically do?
I used 2 bottles of OdorXit Concentrate in lots of loads of wash to get rid of the smoke smell on clothes, drapes, throw rugs, blankets and bedding, anything that would fit in the washing machine. This Included the clothes we wore cleaning up the garage that got saturated with smoke smell. And boy did they smell bad.
We used OdorXit CL02 in the bedroom and the office to eliminate the smoke smell so we could be in these rooms without a respirator and sleep in our own bed. There is no place like home, even if most of it does smell like fire smoke.
I don’t know how people get through a fire without OdorXit. OdorXit allowed us to keep so many of our items, which would have otherwise been lost.
We stored lots of construction parts for rental property in the garage. Electrical outlets and covers, plumbing supplies, work gloves, ceramic light fixtures, nuts, bolts, pulley’s – all things they weren’t harmed by the fire but had that awful smoke smell on them.
We saved them by taking a bucket of water, adding a small packet of OdorXit CL02 and dissolving it in water and wiping all those items with the water. It killed the fire smell immediately.
I did wear gloves and threw them away, but I saved tools, buckets, and even the respirators lost their smoke smell after rinsing with OdorXit CL02 in water.
Thank goodness for OdorXit.
And thanks once again for all your support and concern during this ordeal.
We truly appreciate our friends and faithful customers.
